Dulce De Leche with churro-inspired cinnamon cookie chunks

This ice cream was born in Mexico City after our chef tasted a fresh churro dipped in dulce de leche. There is nothing like the combination of cinnamon and caramel. We used our snickerdoodle recipe to give it a more northern twist, and for something that would soften sumptuously in the ice cream.

Shipping Information

We ship our ice cream within insulated coolers filled with dry ice. Each package is in transit for between one and three days depending on the recipients location. Please select up to five total pints or more to complete your case before checking out.

A Match Made In Heaven

The combination of cinnamon and caramel isn’t something that comes immediately to mind when you think of one of those things or the other… but Mexico City does it right. Dipping fresh, hot churros in deep, sweet caramel is an experience worthy of replication in every medium possible!

When it comes to freezing them in ice cream, we feel that churros get a little lost–the beauty of them is in their crisp, hot crackle. Instead, we used our cinnamon sugar cookie (also known as snickerdoodle!), and it hits all the right notes of the combo that was its inspiration. The cinnamon in our cookies has a sweetness all its own, and it pairs and integrates beautifully with the gentle caramel of dulce de leche. As the cookies swim around in this beautiful caramel cream, their textures meld and the mixture becomes pure velvet.

Pairings:

This might be our best sundae ice cream: it’s a beautiful, sweet and velvety base for anything you wish to add to it. Pecans? Score. Flaky salt?? Score again. Chocolate??? For the win! On its own, our Dulce & Cookies is supreme after a light meal, where its light sweetness and soupçon of warm spice gently round everything out.
